I would like to inquire if there is a comprehensive list or article available with regards to business opportunities that are currently available in Malaysia? I am a recent graduate and I've been trying to come up with ideas, however if there is an avenue where different opportunities are listed, a tailored startup to cater for the opportunity could perhaps be a way to start.

I am currently in the midst of preparing concept paper for my start up idea, primarily focusing on creative products:arts and interior decorations.

Do you guys provide platform for idea pitching and grant supply?

I'm a Group Senior Finance in a listed company here in Malaysia. As I was given the opportunity to be in the software development team and also attended the GST Agent course conducted by Kastam, I have recently came out with an idea or concept to help public to perform some functions which I think not available in the market. Unfortunately, the software development team did not work out fine so my concept is still a concept.

Moving forward, I would patent this solution but i'm not sure whether the solution needs to be developed prior to patenting.

Also, are there members in MaGIC who is willing to develop this solution?

We would be very interested in getting some information regarding the incentives grantable to start-up in Malaysia.

Indeed, reference is made to the 2015 Budget Speech given on 10th October 2014 by the Prime Minister and Minister of Finance of Malaysia where the following statement provides:

"To attract more expatriate entrepreneurs establish Startups in Malaysia, the paid-up capital for Startups is set at RM75,000. Eligible expatriate Startup entrepreneurs will be given Work Pass for one year."

Could you kindly provide some clarification on such statement (e.g. if this status can give access to some tax incentives) and if any implementations have occurred yet?
